Nevermind Venture Lazio

NEVERMIND (NVM) SICAV RAIF – Venture Lazio is one of the Alternative Investment Funds selected by Lazio Innova under the LAZIO Venture 2 public call for proposals to make equity investments in startups and innovative SMEs operating in the Lazio region.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Lazio Regional ERDF Programme 2021-2027.

Investment Purpose

The Fund's investment activity, which will focus on companies with permanent establishments in the Lazio region, is aimed at:

• fostering the creation and growth of innovative companies in the Lazio region;
• supporting research, development and technology transfer programmes;
• facilitating access to capital for startups and innovative SMEs;
• contributing to the development of the innovation ecosystem in the Lazio region.

Funded Activities

The Fund focuses on innovative technology companies, with particular emphasis on the strategic sectors of Aerospace, AI for Defence, Cyber, Autonomy, Smart Materials, Energy Security and Biotech. Target companies must be headquartered or have a significant operational presence in Lazio and have an international outlook. The Fund will make initial investments primarily at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages, with significant capacity to provide follow-on funding in subsequent growth rounds.

The Fund will invest in a diversified portfolio of 8-15 eligible companies that are not listed on regulated markets.

All investments will be carried out in compliance with the applicable European and national regulatory framework governing financial instruments co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Fund Size and Financial Support

The Fund currently has a total size of €23.6 million, of which €18.83 million has been subscribed by Lazio Innova through financial resources provided under the Lazio Regional ERDF Programme 2021-2027 and by the Lazio Region.
